Shula’s Steak House Naples named a Blue Zones Project Approved™ RestaurantCauliflower Steak

Shula’s Steak House Naples, the popular restaurant located in the Hilton Naples, has been named a Blue Zones Project Approved™ restaurant.

“Shula’s wants to empower our team members to live the best lives, not just here at work, but at home and within their community,” stated Jeff Jerome, director of marketing & sales of Shula’s Naples. “Our partnership with Blue Zones Project has provided numerous resources that help make Shula’s Naples a better place to work and enjoy.”

To promote better well-being, Shula’s Steak House Naples (Shula’s) added several new plant-based dishes to the menu for children and adults. In addition, they now offer whole grain alternatives to any refined grain item on their menu, serve local produce when available and in season, and they allow diners to split plates at no extra charge to encourage healthy portion sizes. Shula’s also became a tobacco-free restaurant, both inside and at their outdoor dining area. In addition, they encourage employees, family and friends to quit smoking with materials and support through Tobacco Free Florida.

Shula’s joins more than 126 other area companies involved with Blue Zones Project—a community-by-community, well-being improvement initiative designed to support longer, better lives through permanent changes to environment, policy, and social networks. Principles are based on lifestyles in Blue Zones® areas, which are pockets of the world where people live longer with less chronic disease and higher quality of life.

Brought to Southwest Florida by NCH Healthcare System, in collaboration with Sharecare®, Inc. and Blue Zones, LLC, Blue Zones Project is a vital part of Southwest Florida’s well-being improvement initiative that encourages changes in the community that lead to healthier options.
